Training: Senior Consultant
Senior Consultants within Vantage Partners’ Training Services are responsible for assisting the Senior Relationship Managers (the firm’s point salespeople) in the business development process. This includes engaging with clients to better understand their business and training needs, scoping engagements and determining the associated investment, and providing insights based on the firm’s expertise. Once the sales process is complete, the Senior Consultant then designs and delivers the learning solution and works closely with the Senior Relationship Managers to manage all aspects of the client engagement.
Senior Consultants often manage multiple client relationships, and hold significant account management responsibilities, including the identification of additional training and consulting opportunities.
During the design and delivery process, Senior Consultants lead a team of Consultants and Training Specialists (and often Partners), as well as internal and external facilitators. They are the voice of the client internally, interfacing with the firm’s consulting practices on an as-needed basis.
Senior Consultants typically have 5 – 10+ years of experience, with backgrounds in training and development – often with expertise in negotiation and conflict resolution, and/or extensive experience working in the professional services industry. Opportunities for growth include becoming a Principal or moving into a consulting role.
