Senior Consultants at Vantage typically have 5-10 years of consulting experience and are responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery. Senior Consultants lead client engagements under the strategic guidance of a Partner who owns the client relationship. Senior consultants are a primary contact with the client, often traveling on-site to conduct diagnostic interviews, lead client working sessions, and present project findings and updates. Senior Consultants are the drivers of the major project deliverables, working collaboratively with Consultants and Analysts to capture Vantage’s thinking and advice in slides, charts, and text. Senior Consultants are instrumental in guiding the project team’s direction, routinely contributing thought leadership, and managing communication with client stakeholders.
The Senior Consultant position also includes a number of internally facing responsibilities in support of the firm’s overall operations and delivery. Senior Consultants often play significant roles in developing Analysts and Consultants, interviewing new-hire candidates, and partnering with firm leadership to optimize resource deployment and project delivery. Senior Consultants contribute to the development of Vantage knowledge and thought leadership through the writing of articles and white papers with Vantage colleagues. Senior Consultants may also present or lead sessions at industry conferences.
Senior Consultants are promoted as they gain tenure and experience with the firm, allowing them to be further leveraged to drive multiple workstreams and manage teams on client engagements. In this higher role, they serve as important mentors for more junior team members trusted advisors to Vantage’s key clients.
