Learning Data Analytics: Metrics, Measurement and Analytics for Training Organizations

Featured Guest:
Sharon Claffey Kaliouby
VP, North America, Learning Pool

Host and Facilitator:
Danny Ertel
Partner, Vantage Partners

How can you cut through the hype and the buzzwords to understand the real impact of learning data analytics (LDA) on how learning leaders design and deliver learning today? What are the cultural, change management, privacy (think GDPR), and ethical concerns that learning leaders must grapple with today? How do we apply what we track and measure to help us create a better experience—and outcomes—for learners?

Join your Boston-area L&D colleagues for a morning of peer-to-peer exploration and reflection on these and other critical questions. This spring’s featured guest is Sharon Claffey Kaliouby, VP North America at Learning Pool. Co-founder of the #WomeninLearning initiative, Sharon was named the Learning & Performance Institute’s 2018 Learning Professional of the Year ranked by her industry peers as of 2019’s “Top 50 Leaders in Learning & Development—Americas.” She brings years of front-line experience leading L&D teams and has recently completed a deep-dive analysis of data analytics in learning.

As a discussion starter for group sharing and topical breakouts, Sharon will share perspectives and insights—from her professional journey and recent research—on how LDA is developing and how L&D leaders can harness the power of data and analytics to enhance learning and business outcomes.  All participants are invited to contribute their own experiences, challenges, and case studies—ensuring a rich, robust exploration of LDA-related themes, facilitated by Vantage’s Danny Ertel.

Learning Lab—hosted and facilitated by Vantage Partners—provides leadership and learning development colleagues an opportunity to come together periodically in community, conversation, shared consultation, and joint problem solving. Learning Labs are structured as half-day (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) collaborative experiences exploring important topics in learning and leadership development. At our first Learning Lab series event in September 2019, featured guest Greg Dracos, senior manager Deloitte Consulting LLP, catalyzed a robust roundtable discussion around the topic of “Digital Learning for Enduring Human Capabilities.”

Sharon Claffey Kaliouby is VP North America at Learning Pool, where she is an advocate for analytics-led, personalized workflow learning in collaboration with customers. Sharon is co-founder of #WomeninLearning and actively promotes women in learning and leadership, gender equality, and diversity. Prior to joining Learning Pool, Sharon most recently was a Learning Fellow & Advisor for Elliott Masie Productions and previously served as head of global learning & development at State Street Global Advisors.
